You will serve as a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in the Operational Forces Support Division of NAVMEDREADLOGCMD D FT DETRICK MD.

Duties

You will serve as the Alternate Controlled Substance Surveillance Coordinate for Navy's pharmaceutical and controlled substance program for components of Naval Operational Forces. You will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing Medical and Dental Allowance Lists (AMAL/ADAL) for Naval Operational Forces. You will formulate alternative support goals to achieve program objectives. You will gather information, organizes and maintain information on information management systems. You will develop logistics requirements and determine demand plans, by applying forecasting techniques. You will use MS Office suite or similar applications to analyze data and prepare written communication for decision or information papers and briefs. You will minimize support costs, logistics footprint, and providing the user with the resources to sustain the system in an austere conditions such as a shipboard environment.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with developing, coordinating, and managing Medical and Dental Allowance Lists (AMAL/ADAL) for Naval Operating Forces. Experience using DoD and commercial information systems to research medical (AMAL) and dental (ADAL) content to manage technical logistics data. Examples: Defense Medical Logistics Item Identification System, Web based Federal Logistics Information System, and Medical Contingency Requirements Workflow. Experience with the Drug Enforcement Administration's Controlled Substance Surveillance Reporting. Experience with Defense Logistics Agency - Troop Support - Medical (DLA-TS) Controlled Substance Surveillance Reporting. Knowledge of DEA, FDA, DLA, and DoD Controlled Substance Surveillance regulations.
