You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Research, Development & Acquisition) Navy International Programs Office (Navy IPO) of NAVINTLPRGOFF ARLINGTON VA.

Duties

You will serve as an expert with responsibility for the development, implementation, and management of command security programs. You will develop policies, procedures, and methods for implementation and administration of the command security program to reduce internal/external threats to the command. You will independently plan, schedule coordinate, carry out, and monitor the effectiveness of the operation of security programs. You will consider problem areas, status of funds, personnel requirements, and operational needs and requirements. You will develop briefing materials and conduct meeting and briefings.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Experience developing, implementing, and managing command security programs. 2. Experience planning, scheduling, coordinating, carrying out, and monitoring the effectiveness of the operation of security programs.
