Incumbent provides program support for Facilities Management Service (FMS) at the Saginaw VAMC. Provides structured support to multiple Engineering and Facilities Management programs. Independently performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties for each of these programs, which requires a sound working knowledge of hospital and service policies, procedures, and directives.

The position will coordinate and provide reports and analysis to support for the many facets of quantitative and qualitative reporting to the service chief or designee and managers.
The position will be expected to participate in a team as well as function independently.
Prepares charts, graphs, and narrative information for management reports.
Utilizes automated systems to generate various reports, create statistical diagrams, organization and workflow charts, and other graphics. Analyzes and synthesizes data from diverse sources in a variety of formats.
Prepares reports for dissemination, briefing and publication.
Written work describes data collection methods used and incorporates process and procedures impacted within the department.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Physical Requirements: The majority of the work is sedentary but may include some physical effort, such as walking, standing, bending, sitting, and light lifting. There are no special physical demands.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
GS-7 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-6 grade level in the federal service); Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Applicants who have the 1 year of appropriate specialized experience, as indicated in the table, are not required by this standard to have general experience, education above the high school level, or any additional specialized experience to meet the minimum qualification requirements.
Utilizes automated systems to generate various reports, create statistical diagrams, organization and workflow charts, and other graphics.
Examine and combine data from diverse sources in a variety of formats. This includes coordinating the assembly of materials, obtaining space, telephone line, video/audio connections and information for use at the meetings.
Coordinates responses to a variety of letters, memoranda, and reports to ensure correct presentation, punctuation, capitalization, spelling and grammar, and timeliness of all material prepared for the Director and higher-level signatures.
Performs a variety of activities using office automation software. These activities include but are not limited to preparation of presentations requiring coordinating inputs from multiple sources and software packages; forms creation; calendar scheduling; correspondence preparation; electronic mail; action tracking systems; internet searches; spreadsheets to organize data, and office management programs.
There is no educational substitution for the GS-7 level.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
