Incumbent provides program support for Facilities Management Service (FMS) at the Saginaw VAMC. Provides structured support to multiple Engineering and Facilities Management programs. Independently performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties for each of these programs, which requires a sound working knowledge of hospital and service policies, procedures, and directives.
Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Plans, coordinates, and accomplishes a variety of program support tasks, such as records/tracking specific program data and preparing and compiling data for special requests.
Consolidates statistical and narrative data for reports and/or management review.
Performs basic analysis of data to recognize trends and compiles data to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Researches, collects, and compiles statistical data and other information for special reports, as requested.
Monitors and tracks all applicable VA plans, policies and publications that are under Facilities Management Service (FMS) purview.
Maintains local FMS Medical Center Memorandum, FMS internal policies and Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) to ensure timely review and revision, accuracy, and compliance to Dept. of VA standards.
Works with FMS leadership to coordinate timely review of all policy and correspondence with VAMC Saginaw leadership and Quality Safety Value (QSV) staff, VISN Action Items.
The incumbent uses multiple and a variety of software packages to extract and analyze data and develop spreadsheets and charts to present summarized and meaningful information to management.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
GS-7 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-6 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: Knowledge of computer applications, including electronic mail and data base management; Knowledge of varied and advanced software applications and functions used to develop spreadsheets, databases, and other documents requiring complex formats; Practical working knowledge of VA Time and Attendance recording procedures and budgetary control procedures; Use of office equipment, including keyboard and scanner/copier/fax machine; Knowledge of service and medical center operations, procedures, and policies.
There is no educational substitution for the GS-7 level.
