Duties
As a/an Financial Management Analyst (FASS), you will:
Serve as a focal point between the REAC/FASS office and the HUD staff at field offices, owners of multifamily properties and certified public accountants who audit these properties on all matters relating to financial and compliance issues pertaining to individual assisted properties.
Conduct comprehensive management analysis and studies of program area requested by the FASS Director, relating to organization, work planning and control, procedures and methods, work measurement, productivity, and internal and external controls.
Conduct reviews of material submitted from field offices, owners and CPAs, identifies problems, inadequacies, provides guidance and recommendations on disposition of financial performance indicators and compliance findings.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-13, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Conducting financial trend analyses; AND
Reviewing and maintaining financial data and/or financial statements in support of financial audits; AND
Development of financial management policies and procedures.
For the GS-12, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Conducting financial trend analyses; AND
Reviewing and maintaining financial data and/or financial statements in support of financial audits
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
