You will serve as a Management and Program Analyst in the Information Technology Division of SURFACE MAINT ENG PLANNING PROGRAM.

Duties

You will develop new or modified work operations and progress plans, goals, objectives, resources estimate use, intra and inter-program/project balances, and other related aspects of the organization's corrosion program/project. You will integrate and update development and execution phases of cognizant program/project areas into a consolidated set of plans and objectives that ensures management will have an effective and economically sound plan for reaching objectives. You will monitor operating programs to measure compliance with regulatory guidance and progress towards reaching objectives effectively and economically. You will identify actual and potential problem areas, trends, significant accomplishments, deficiencies and areas of imbalance. You will interact with program stakeholders to conduct fact finding, research databases, maintenance and repair histories, and other sources of information that focus on slow to degrade systems, (structural, tanks, voids) and corrosion programs. You will design plans and make recommendations for program and data collection, assessment and reporting improvements. You will conduct research and uses qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring program effectiveness, efficiency and productivity. You will assist corrosion community of practice in preparing for presentations and representation at conferences, round tables, meetings where affected programs and initiatives are discussed. You will provide analysis and reports which contributes to the development of engineered maintenance requirements for corrosion elements of Class Maintenance Plans (CMPs.) You will update, modify, or direct others to update/modify data elements of Corrosion Control Information Management Systems.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-02 (GS-11 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing a corrosion control program or project operation for surface ships or submarines to measure operational effectiveness, efficiency, productivity, or compliance with regulatory requirements.
