As a Deputy Director of the Office of Budget, you will assist the Director with codifying operating norms and making targeted improvements to accuracy, customer service, and delivery. Location of position: General Services Administration, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Washington, DC We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled through this announcement in this or other GSA organizations within the same commuting area.

As a Deputy Director of the Office of Budget, you will perform the following duties:

• Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
• Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable

If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience in financial management leadership; developing formal budget submissions; justifying budget requests; budget forecasting; reviewing and recommending budget requests; evaluating and monitoring systems for the expenditure of Federal funds; evaluating budget policies; developing performance goals and measures related to budgets; developing strategic planning programs; and formulating a performance-based budgeting process.
