Duties
Plans and executes, applied and supporting research directed toward the development of applicable techniques to new and/or changing ammunition operations and general supply logistic concepts for projects to be studied.
Develops resource, staffing and funding, guidance for Command, installations, and performs continuous evaluation and analyses to ensure accomplishment of program directives, objectives, and goals.
Performs special studies relative to ammunition operations, production and stockpile management and over all industrial base strategies.
Troubleshoots day-to-day problems, and develops new approaches to satisfy production, manufacturing and stockpile management issues.
Serves as a senior analyst, coordinator, the expert, and/or project officer in support of the logistic operations of the Command involving the Command installation.
Presents, coordinates and develops briefings to Command Group, higher headquarters and private industry on new and existing mission assignments and analysis of on-going performance.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent of this position may be required to travel approximately 35% of the time.
- Position requires a Secret security clearance or the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics- Advanced certification within 48 months of entrance on duty.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually.

One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Analyzing ammunition operations, production and stockpile management issues for an organization; 2) Reviewing ammunition program management regulatory guidance to ensure compliance; and 3) Analyzing future logistic missions to meet the goals of the organization. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/ level position in the federal service (GS-12)
