You will serve as a HEALTH SYSTEM SPECIALIST in the Force Medical Readiness (M34) (FMR) of NAVMEDFORLANT PORTSMOUTH VA.
Duties
You will advise senior management on health care administrative policies, programs, or operations.
You will analyze health facility activities to verify compliance within regulatory agency and accreditation standards.
You will maintain management related databases to ensure data driven changes enhancing clinical operations are accurately reflected.
You will recommend solutions to improve health care program effectiveness.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience training programs for medical boards to include temporary limited duty, disability evaluation board and conditions not amounting to a disability.
Experience overseeing, directing and delivering initial HIPAA privacy training and orientation to HIPAA/Privacy Officers. Experience using the electronic health records and MHS Genesis.
Experience writing desk guides and standard operating procedures.
Experience generating correspondence, agendas, scheduling meetings, and documenting minutes in support of routine office administrative requirements.
Experience tracking, monitoring, and recording submissions of Service Treatment Records (STR) reports from subordinate commands and provide analysis of process compliance and deficiencies.
