You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HEALTH SYSTEM SPECIALIST in the Patient Administration Department at Naval Military Treatment Facilities (MTF) of NMRTC PORTSMOUTH VA.

Duties

You will directs the day to day accountability of the prerequisites of execution of the Disability Evaluation System Program. You will develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to monitors and tracks trend changes. You will identify developmental and/or training needs of employees, and provides or arranges for necessary development/ training. You will coordinate the processing of Medical Evalution Board (MEBR) of personnel assigned to all branches of the uniformed services who are being treated. You will perform other duties as assigned.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

For GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing direct critical management, program oversight and supervision of civilian, military and contract personnel. Experience utilizing program management skills to govern policies, guidance, program activities. Experience managing multiple section programs. Experience operating Microsoft software, such as but not limited to, excel to generate standard / customized management reports and bar/pie charts. Experience tracking LIMDUSmart and Veterans applications. Experience using analyzing performance against established metrics. Experience using statistical and analytic tools, as a means to measure, trends and statistical deviations. Experience communicating both orally and written in a manner that is clear, precise and effective to convey various ideas and issues within the organization.
