You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.
Duties
You will prepare the annual inventory schedule, conduct location surveys and prepare various reports.
You will conduct and report the results of location audit programs (LAPs).
You will analyze recent issues and receipts, transfers or inventory adjustments that are processed.
You will take corrective actions required to reconcile the database records.
You will be responsible for scheduling, reporting, and conducting both scheduled and unscheduled physical inventories.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates applying standardized supply regulations, policies, and procedures as well as experience scheduling, reporting, and conducting physical inventories on all warehouse items (e.g., wholesale aircraft parts, flight clothing, general supplies, etc.) in order to prepare inventory schedules and conduct both scheduled and unscheduled inventories. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Conducting physical inventories and reporting the results of location audit programs; 2) Determining corrective actions to properly record material/inventory receipts in an automated supply database; 3) Processing receipts and/or reviewing receipt document to determine cause of discrepancy; and/or 4) Utilizing one or more automated supply databases to enter, correct, and retrieve recurring reports and to structure and retrieve specialized reports.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience: have completed 4 years above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school.
COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Combinations of education and experience may be used to meet the total qualification requirements. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience.
