You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Requirement Branch, Control Division, Material Management Department of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.
This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.
Duties
You will be responsible for the validation of inventory and financial management transactions related to inventory management.
You will analyze requirements and prepare estimates of funds needed.
You will review program generated replenishment packages and determine if stock levels are deficient.
You will prepare and submit Allowance Change Requests (ACRs) with supporting justification on those items for which an allowance change is warranted.
You will maintain custody records of material loaned to activities for emergency requirements (in-flight spares).
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector conducting inventory management of items. Examples of specialized experience should include some or all the following: 1) Validating inventory and financial management transactions. 2) Reviewing reports and actions to ensure timely delivery of materials to meet customers' demands. 3) Analyzing inventory requirements and estimating funds as needed. 4) Maintain communications with contactors, vendors, and costumers.
