You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the PMA-274 Program Office within PEO (A) of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
You will be responsible for total logistics management in support of the VH-60N/VH-3D/VH-92A systems and the Presidential Program Office located at Patuxent River, Maryland.
You will develop and implement product support and maintenance concepts/requirements for assigned VH Aircraft to achieve program goals and objectives with life cycle cost.
You will identify, plan and execute logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of the total systems life cycle (i.e. acquisition and sustainment) are in place to meet program requirements.
You will apply logistics principles and practices to ensure the total integration of product support elements to meet program requirements.
You will critically evaluate the causes of support related problems, and choose appropriate courses of action that balance the interests of the program mission and the stakeholders.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing technical performance specifications/requirements for aircraft equipment, including reliability and maintainability data; 2) Determining requirements for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements including test equipment, technical data and publications, spares and repair parts; 3) Identifying logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of the total systems life cycle (i.e. acquisition and sustainment) are in place; and 4) Participating in risk management processes to identify system integration risks.
