The Office of Recovery Programs (ORP), U.S. Department of the Treasury is responsible for leading the Department's implementation of economic relief and recovery programs, including nearly $420 billion in programs from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.

Duties

As a/an Supervisory Grants Management Specialist, you will:
- Serve as a grants management officer with technical responsibility for grants administrative management for programs assigned.
- Provide technical guidance and clarification on statutory, Department, and grant administrative regulations and procedures, as specified in Treasury guidance and terms and conditions to operating program managers and grantee organizations.
- Provide advice and guidance to Awards Team on grants and make recommendations concerning the approval or disapproval of grant applications or amendments, ensuring that program mandates are effectively administered within the framework of statutory requirements, federal regulations, and Departmental policies.
- Attend meetings and conferences of key officials and operating staff in the Federal Government, attend Departmental meetings and conferences, and attend site visits and participates in grant seminars and conferences as a representative.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience for the GS-15: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal service, public or other private sectors. Specialized experience for this position includes all of the following:
- Experience implementing grants programs, including approving grant applications and implementing policies and procedures for grants programs; AND
- Experience establishing effective working relationships with grantees, for example within state and local governments; AND
- Experience serving as a team lead or supervisor.
