Duties
Serves as a Senior Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) Application Administrator for Windows, Linux and/or Unix-based applications, specifically for the UiPath Robotic Process Automation platform.
Responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining COTS software applications.
Responsible for ensuring that all COTS applications are kept current and that all processes and configurations are documented in accordance with IT configuration management policies.
Plans and coordinates feasibility studies and recommends alternate courses of action where warranted.
Ensures product configurations and administrative techniques meet security requirements and policies established by the Information Assurance Office.
Develops project plans, implementation guidance, and assesses implementation of information assurance vulnerability alerts and CERT taskings.

Qualifications
To qualify for an IT Specialist (APPSW), your qualifications must include:
Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Examples of specialized experience are identified in the Major Duties section of this vacancy announcement and may also include:
Applies application administration concepts and techniques; provides technical guidance in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining programs; translates and interprets functional requirements, testing, installing, implementing, documenting, and maintaining software; provides guidance in solving application problems.
