You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will ensure that life cycle support is tailored to meet requirements/acquisition milestones for customers. Engage in acquisition events, and strive to improve customer satisfaction in all phases of LCS.
You will provide sustainment support to include relevant security controls, detailed planning, product management, and logistics documentation.
You will manage comprehensive product support programs for the acquisition and or life cycle sustainment management of integrated product support functions as the senior logistics authority.
You will develop detailed logistics milestone documentation for new systems acquisitions.
You will provides logistics support and technical expertise to resolve high priority life cycle logistics problems
You will serve on senior management advisory committees and assist with formulation and execution of goals, plans, and budget for the project or system.
You will determines specific logistics requirements for all integrated product support elements.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field 0346 Level III. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as:
1. Tailoring support to meet requirements and acquisition milestones for customers; 2. Having experience in all phases of life cycle support; 3. Developing detailed plans, goals, objectives and milestones, and evaluation criteria for important logistic support programs and related activities; 4. Providing logistical support and technical expertise to resolve high priority life cycle logistics problems; and 5. Following Department of Defense and Department of Navy policies and procedures.
