You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the SUSTAINMENT GROUP, LOGISTICS INTEGRATION DEPARTMENT, STRIKE WEAPONS & UAV DIVISION, STRIKE WEAPONS & UAV BRANCH of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will assist with collecting, analyzing, interpreting and developing specialized information for weapon system related test and support equipment.
You will assist with analyzing spare requirements and providing procurement recommendations.
You will assist with maintaining program support documents relating to initial spares requirements.
You will develop, install, inspect, or revise equipment maintenance programs and techniques based on a practical knowledge of the equipment, including its design, production, operational, and maintenance requirements.
You will assist with the consultation, advising, training, and developing specialized information about equipment.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Providing logistics technical assistance regarding logistics topics, issues and concerns; 2) Interfacing with commercial and organic repair activities with induction/design flow scheduling and tracking progress; 3) Maintaining data as it applies to readiness and inventory status; 4) Coordinating repair actions between external stakeholders for both commercial and organic repair; 5) Understanding of logistics supportability analyses; 6) Working knowledge of total life cycle logistics support management.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
