This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Office of the Deputy Administrator (AD), Employee Assistance Program Section (ADEA).
This position(s) primary purpose is to provide support to management in the evaluation of Employee Assistance programs. Reviews a multitude of operational and proposed programs and plans for accomplishment of stated objectives and adequacy of available and projected resources.

As a Program Analyst, your typical work assignments may include:
Serves as the intermediary between all DEA field offices and the Employee Assistant Program to include monitoring, tracking and evaluating Trauma Team Resources (TTM).
Provides guidance to the field on TTM trainings, refreshers, deployments and a full range of EAP services and resources.
Conducts program cost analyses such as development of life cycle or other cost analyses of projects, or performance of cost benefit or economic evaluations of program.
Update EAP policies, practices, and procedures to align with the strategic goals and objectives of the agency.
Supports agency officials and managers with implementation of findings and recommendations of program effectiveness.
Requirements

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
GS-12:
Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Supporting Employee Assistant Program activities for an organization; 2) Assisting with budget administration, projections and evaluations; 3) Teaching and providing others with general Employee Assistance Program guidance.
GS-13:
Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Managing operational Employee Assistant Program activities for an organization; 2) Preparing budget projections and utilization; 3) Drafting policies and guidance in support to an Employee Assistance Program support.
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
