Duties
Serves as an IT Project Manager within the EDW J62KBBF program providing project oversight and coordination, policy planning, technical guidance, (continued) budget formulation, system acquisition
(cont.) audit readiness oversight, business management and administrative coordination.
Responsible for developing, coordinating, operating, evaluating, and executing project management for various aspects in assigned portfolio and customer service programs.
Interprets and clarifies policies, procedures, performance standards, and monitoring techniques relating to audit readiness, developed systems modifications or changes.
Stays abreast of all applicable policy and procedural criteria, established short and long-range goals, objectives, and schedules to meet changes in legislation, program authority and funding to aid in the development of internal policies/ plans.
Provides senior level oversight regarding IT systems sustainment approaches and systems engineering and associated activities as they relate to project protection, interoperability, and technology.
Provides authoritative guidance to functional and operational activities.
Functions include project management (project planning, tracking and oversight), project scoping and definition, requirements management, and resource management, project reporting, quality assurance
(cont.) risk identification and management, and life cycle management activities.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Utilizing information systems, technologies, telecommunications, networking, and systems architecture as currently implemented and understood in both government and the private sector.
Performing project management, acquisition approaches, and support requirements and systems as they pertain to the sustainment of systems and the development and implementation of new systems.
Evaluating and validating tools, techniques, and procedures sufficient to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of instruction and to provide recommendations for improving these systems and enhancing mission performance.
