About the Position: Serves as a Security Specialist for the HQDA US Army Inspector General Agency located at the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia.
Duties
Provide oversight of personnel security for the US Army Inspector General Agency Special Access Program Facility (SAPF)/Secure Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
Process Program Access Requests and conduct Tier review to determine eligibility for SAP access.
Assist the Program Security Officer in the planning, directing, and operating security programs involving policies, standards, procedures, methods, devices, and techniques used for the protection of sensitive defense information.
Manage the preliminary and final reporting process for security incidents.
Provide physical security oversight of the DAIG SAPF/SCIF.
Manage completion of corrective physical security actions to analyze trends insecurity incidents.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance for duration of employment.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
- May be required to undergo a Counterintelligence Scope polygraph once assigned.
- Must successfully complete the Inspector General School.

To qualify for this position, you must meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes which includes monitoring operating security programs involving classified information, facilities, or devices; processing requests to determine program access; and coordinating corrective action to mitigate physical security issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
