About the Position: This position is located at U.S. Army Medical Command Headquarters, located Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. Serves to develop, implement and integrate all required Training Development (TD)actions related to MEDICAL new equipment under the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process.
Duties
Responsible for all TD actions related to the documentation of capabilities requirements, system design, development, testing, fielding and training under the JCIDS process for Joint and Army acquisition programs.
Provides input and guidance for the development and design of equipment and related training programs from an understanding of military requirements.
Documents use of training equipment and its overall ability to perform in meeting the organization’s mission in training military and civilian students.
Identifies training support products (i.e., training aids, devices, simulations, and simulators (TADSS)) required to support system fielding of medical systems and associated equipment.
Provides input to JCIDS and training documents to include all capabilities and systems requirements documents, training plans,training support packages, test readiness statements, and fielding plans.

Individual Occupational Requirements
Education: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- education or a subject area related to the position to be filled.
OR
Specialized Experience: Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include:
Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s).
Supervising or administering a training program.
Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results.
Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction which includes analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating military training, professional military and functional training to develop curriculum; planning, developing and reviewing medical collective training materials in accordance with training standards; providing technical guidance in the analysis, implementation, and evaluation of training programs; identifying developments in training to revise and make recommendation to improve training products; analyzing accumulated data and information to coordinate and integrate work with other functional activities; communicating written and oral instructions, directives and briefings in order to present recommendations and conclusions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: , Instructional Design, Instructional Development, Curriculum Development and Design. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
