You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the WEAPON AND SENSOR INSTALLATION DIVISION, MODERNIZATION & INSTALLATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
Duties
You will will be responsible for providing expert consultant system engineering services and engineering assistance in the installation, testing, evaluation and maintenance of the installed alteration on platforms.
You will coordinate the group's effort and act as the Group Senior Technician to achieve the goals of the assigned task(s).
You will provide technical expertise and team leadership for INCO of combat and weapons systems alterations aboard ships, submarines and land based sites.
You will provide oversight of all phases of tasking related to installations specified in applicable alteration/shipboard change documents.
You will develop maintenance processes and provides technical oversight of the development of the detailed internal processes and procedures required to induct, inspect, repair, test and deliver weapon systems equipment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS 11-12 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing technical engineering support services for the test and evaluation to facilitate installation or modernization of ship combat systems.
