About the Position: Serves as Training Administrator/ Instructor for Tactical Combat Medical Care course (TCMC) and is assigned to the US Army Training & Doctrine Command (TRADOC), US Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE), Deputy to the Commandant, Department of Operational Medicine, Tactical Medical Readiness Division/Tactical Combat Medical Care, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Duties
Developing specific course content or lesson plans for the for the Combat Medical Care as well as instructing or delivering information and materials for different topics related the course.
Thorough understanding and knowledge of program goals and objectives, work processes, and administrative operations of the organization.
Ability to apply, a wide range of principles, theories, and processes of management with a high degree of resourcefulness, ingenuity, and inventiveness to a variety of assignments.
Analyzes existing and new requirements impacting the program and provides solutions and options for implementation.
Thorough working knowledge of a computer system and associated software including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and others and well as management information systems/office automation applications necessary to accomplish work of the position.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers in order to accomplish program objectives.

- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning, developing and managing comprehensive instructor-training within the Tactical Combat Medical Care where duties include (but are not limited to) developing and modifying classes and material; updating and writing lessons; ensuring adherence to command training doctrine in developing lessons; using judgment and discretion on modifying subject matter content as needed; independently maintaining and updating materials based on research. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
