About the Position: This position is with the 88th Readiness Division, Budget Division/Reserve Personnel Army, Resource Management Office located at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin.
Duties
Administer the overall budgetary management system.
Review, analyze, edit and consolidate budget submissions.
Consolidate, prepare and submit final, detailed budget submission.
Interpret budgetary policies, guidance and procedures for the 2070 appropriation, Reserve Personnel for the Department of the Army.
Develop and issue local guidance/procedural instructions.
Recommend approval/disapproval on funding requests.
Serve as a financial consultant to management.
Supervise employees engaged in budget development and execution functions.
Develop performance plans and appraise performance.
Execute actions in the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Regional Level Application Software (RLAS), and Defense Travel System (DTS).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires completion of Financial Management level 2 certification within 24 months from date of hire.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves analytical, technical, and administrative duties in one or more phases of the budgetary process in support of a military unit or activity, such as guidance, budget formulation and justification, presentation and enactment, execution or the development of budgetary guidance; preparing budgeting strategies and techniques, program priorities and financial forecasts and projections. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
