About the Position: This position is with the 88th Readiness Division, Budget Division/Reserve Personnel Army, Resource Management Office located at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin.

Duties

Administer the overall budgetary management system. Review, analyze, edit and consolidate budget submissions. Consolidate, prepare and submit final, detailed budget submission. Interpret budgetary policies, guidance and procedures for the 2070 appropriation, Reserve Personnel for the Department of the Army. Develop and issue local guidance/procedural instructions. Recommend approval/disapproval on funding requests. Serve as a financial consultant to management. Supervise employees engaged in budget development and execution functions. Develop performance plans and appraise performance. Execute actions in the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Regional Level Application Software (RLAS), and Defense Travel System (DTS).

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position requires completion of Financial Management level 2 certification within 24 months from date of hire.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget ExecutionBudget Formulation, Justification, and PresentationFinancial Management AnalysisManaging Human ResourcesTime in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
