The Program Support Assistant position is located within the VA Black Hills Health Care System, serving as the Equipment Manager, Automated Data Processing Coordinator (ADPAC), TMP (telehealth management platform) manager, Telehealth Clinic Support, Data Management, and Program Support Assistant (PSA) for the following Telehealth Programs.
Duties
Major duties listed but not limited to:
Primary POC for telehealth purchase orders
Monitors telehealth budget.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining inventory of all telehealth equipment including purchased and leased equipment, all repairs and cost; reviewing leased equipment monthly bill and verifying correct amount due based on accurate information that is maintained on excel spreadsheets; and maintaining inventory of total equipment costs.
Assures that telehealth equipment is properly maintained and initiates corrective action for malfunctions
Completes or ensures completion by trained staff locally and makes the necessary arrangements/reservations for telehealth equipment lines and rooms at the facilities involved.
Coordinates with sites and tracks the receiving and disposition of telehealth technologies and supplies which are ordered through the normal acquisitions process; this involves working with logistics and warehouse staff to track receipt of equipment and with local telehealth staff to ensure that equipment is deployed and installed at various clinic/CBOC sites.
Provides primary ADP support for all HPDP/Telehealth programs and staff. Utilizes a variety of software programs, including local Master Control Unit (MCU), VISN MCU's, STL SharePoint Telehealth/TeleMed SharePoint, CPRS, word processing, file management, VistA program, EXCEL spreadsheets, communication tools such as MS Outlook, and the PIV Portal to facilitate daily operation of service.
Assists Telehealth Nurse Manager with developing major administrative policies for software and computer applications such as contingency/manual fallback procedures, recovery procedures, and workload reporting/monitoring. Works with other services to integrate these programs.
Performs other duties as assigned.

GS-07 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes but is not limited to: answering questions concerning administrative policies; utilizing software and computer applications to complete administrative duties; collecting and analyzing data to assist in health care program improvement activities; scheduling and coordinating meetings and conferences; preparing reports, letters, and memorandums regarding administrative functions.
