About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain half way between Atlanta, Georgia and Birmingham, Alabama just off interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with Approximately 4000 employees.
Duties
Serve as a technical and administrative supervisor in the Directorate of Public Works, Logistics Division, exercising full supervisory responsibility over Motor Pool and Fuel Operations Branch.
Establish deadlines and priorities on the basis of general work schedules and methods and policies.
Determine how many assignments can be done concurrently, which ones must be delayed, and the number and types of employees needed, considering skills, personnel materials, and equipment available and required.
Review job descriptions for currency and accuracy and makes necessary changes.
Select workers and assigns tasks to be performed. Explains work requirements, methods, and procedures; instructs subordinates in new procedures; and provides advice when problems arise.
Investigate work related problems to identify causes; implements those corrective actions that can be taken within the limits of incumbent's authority.
Adjust plans, assignments, and methods as necessary to accomplish work as effectively and economically as feasible.
Requirements
- Required to obtain and maintain CDL, Class A License with Hazard and Tanker Endorsement and Passenger Endorsement.
- Federal Wage System employees, WG/WL/WS etc, must satisfactorily complete the appropriate annual Depot Medical Examination.
- This position requires the incumbent to be subject to random drug testing and required to sign a DA Form 5019
- Required obtain and maintain Contract Officers Representative (COR) certifications.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Motor Vehicle Operator Supervisor without more than normal supervision. I exercise full supervisory responsibility over Motor Pool and Fuel Operations Branch; providing the knowledge, skills and ability to troubleshoot and repair complex malfunctions in multiple types of engines. I am skilled in implementing full range of personnel management to include development of performance standards, appraisals and employee counseling, and hiring.
