The Office of Enforcement Operations (OEO) provides investigative & prosecutorial support, legal advice, and statutorily required review and approval in almost 40 distinct subject areas. OEO oversees the use of the most sophisticated investigative tools of the federal government, including electronic surveillance, the Federal Witness Security Program, media subpoenas, and witness immunity requests. OEO provides legal advice to federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies on these programs.

Duties

This position is for an Administrative Officer for OEO. The Administrative Officer is responsible for the day-to-day duties associated with running OEO. In addition, the incumbent works closely with the Director, Deputy Director and Unit Chiefs of the office. Some of the duties of the position include: Serves as primary point of contact for all issues related to manpower and organizational functions, provides technical and advisory services in financial management, human resources, procurement, facility management, travel services, and other administrative functions, as necessary. Prepares briefing presentations/packets for the Director and Deputy Director as well as weekly reports. Coordinates with the Director and Deputy Director in developing materials used for formulating, justifying, and executing budgets and monitors expenditure of funds. Coordinates with Human Resources staff regarding assigned personnel related matters to include staffing, time and attendance, leave administration, promotion and performance and recognition. Oversees maintenance of all administrative files in the office and properly archives or disposes files, according to established retention schedules. Provides guidance on rules and process related to travel requests, authorizations, and vouchers; occasionally manages travel arrangements and submits travel vouchers for reimbursement. Evaluates existing administrative processes in OEO and their integration, when applicable, with those of the Division. Discusses issues regarding workflow, organization, and planning, in helping the supervisor and other managers in developing strategies for effecting improvements, where needed. Documents processes that support the application, institutionalization, and continuous improvement of sound administrative practices. Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-12 level, applicants must have one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-11 grade level. Examples of specialized experience include: planning and providing a wide range of liaison services to support human resources administrative activities such as time and attendance and staffing; assessing and improving office processes and procedures; and assigning, directing and reviewing the work of staff employees. Time-in-Grade: Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements for consideration by the closing date of this announcement.
