Serves as Operations Administrator supporting the Program Operations Manager. Responds to inquiries regarding personnel security and suitability IT systems. Provides advice to supervisors on issues and problems related to IT service operations and work accomplishment. Plans and schedules work in a manner promoting a smooth flow and even distribution ensuring IT services required for personnel security and suitability mission accomplishment are maintained at acceptable service levels.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG 11 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience.
Specialized experience for this position includes:
Planning and scheduling tasks associated with Information Technology (IT) operations;
Tracking and managing current status of change requests submitted to IT service providers;
Developing and proposing work plans including setting and adjusting short and long-term priorities;
Balancing workload and providing personnel security and suitability IT requirement advice, guidance, and direction;
Keeping metrics and analyzing IT systems ensuring actions are timely and reviewed at critical points;
Developing, assessing and revising policies and procedures as needed to improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency of IT service operations;
Responding to inquiries regarding IT systems
Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:
