About the Position: This position is with the 81st Regional Support Command (RSC), Supply & Maintenance Division, located in Fort Jackson, SC. Duties

Prepare interpretive and implementing guidance in the logistics area for subordinate elements Analyze data and prepare reports on logistics programs including supply, transportation maintenance, and logistics services Identify systemic and specific problem areas in logistics operations, determine and recommend appropriate corrective action and provide evaluation of progress and impact to the Commander and staff Assist in actual aspects of the Logistics Management Program by providing necessary feeder data and performing some of the less complex coordinating and executing logistical requirements Review purchase requests for acquisition of supplies and services, initiate acquisitions, and recommend actions for contracting

  • THIS POSITION REQUIRES ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AS A SOLDIER IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing policies and regulations concerning supply and maintenance, and/or transportation and services, conducting staff visits, reviewing requisitions against authorized allowances and/or preparing special and recurring reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Logistics, Management, or Marketing. OR Combination of education and experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Only degrees from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education are acceptable to meet positive education requirements or to substitute education for experience.
