About the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Plans and Operations Division, at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.

Duties

Serves as a multi-functional Logistics Management Specialist who provides guidance and staff level support throughout the installation. Assists the Transportation, Maintenance and Supply Divisions with productivity reports, metric management, and organization improvements. Coordinate and research continuous improvement/waiver issues crossing all logistic functions. Works with the Installation staff and Army Field Support Brigade staff to make recommendations for process improvement and analysis of logistic processes for problem areas and solutions. Establishes and conducts biweekly Logistics Workshops and coordinates related logistics issues for the Command Status Report. Resolves operational problems and controls assigned functions to avoid overlapping or duplication of activities.

Requirements

  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirement.
  • This position may require the incumbent to work extended hours or shifts upon activation of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical CompetenceWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
