About the Position: This position is located at Fort Jackson, Richland, South Carolina.
Duties
Serve as the Logistics department supervisor and work through subordinate supervisors.
Assist the Chief of Logistics in advising the DHA commander in all matters related to the management and oversight of supply systems, housekeeping, medical maintenance, property management, and the supply chain.
Resolve medical supply issues or deficiencies identified in the mobilization planning process.
Participate in planning and exercises, and communicate with Garrison, state and local government officials for preparation and response to national disasters and national emergencies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- May be required to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, rotating shifts, holidays, and/or overtime.
- This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
- This position may require the incumbent to complete a one year supervisory probationary period.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes manage budget preparation, coordinate procurement actions of new equipment for medical facilities, and implement policies and/or procedures to support logistics operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11.
