About the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Plans and Operations Division, at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.

Duties

Serve as a Senior Logistician to plan, develop, and monitor implementation of plans, policies, procedures, and guidance for the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC). Assist the Transportation, Maintenance, and Supply Divisions with productivity reports, metric management, and organization improvements. Assist in the development, review, and analysis of all facets of logistics related to and in support of contingency, emergency, mobilization plans, operations, ceremonies, and special events for the installation. Provide recommendations to the Division Chief based on policies and guidance concerning emergency planning and contingency programs. Maintain liaison with supported units coordinating and correlating functions and plans to resolve problems and ensure accomplishment of mission. Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates; set and adjust priorities; and prepare schedules for work completion. Coordinate with and serve as liaison to the Garrison staff personnel regarding Logistics Readiness Command (LRC) functions and operation elements.

Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• This position may require the incumbent to work weekends and holidays.
• This position may require the incumbent to work extended hours or shifts upon activation of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
