About the Position: The US Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) is the Army's material readiness command for aviation, missile and calibration that optimizes joint warfighter capabilities at the point of need. Duties

Compile and evaluate Program Objective Memorandum data and prepares program budget narrative including impact statements and justifications. Work extensively with the General Fund Enterprise Business System and other accounting systems to troubleshoot problems and provide solutions. Serve as Division point of contact for Internal Control Program and audit readiness, ensuring the programs are adequate to protect government resources. Develop and maintain internal operating budgets and obligation plan schedules to determine AMCOM resource requirements.

Requirements

  • This position requires Financial Management Level II Certification within 24 months of entrance of duty.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance during the duration of employment.
  • You may be expected to travel up to 10% for this position.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes applying qualitative/quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of financial execution. This experience includes knowledge of planning, programming and budgeting regulations, guidelines and processes to plan and execute financial resources for assigned programs; cost collection and cost reporting systems; and utilize financial systems, such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and Logistics Modernization Plan (LMP). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some positions allow substitution of education for experience. At this grade level, you must qualify on experience alone, no substitution of education is allowed. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget AdministrationFinancial ManagementFinancial SystemsOral Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
