About the Position: This is a Training Analyst position located at the Combined Arms Center for Training (CAC-T), Training Management Directorate (TMD), Fort Leavenworth, KS.
Duties
Manages training programs/systems and supporting products for the Army's Training Management proponent.
Develops and implements training program/system guidance, policies, directives and procedures.
Conducts training and education analysis using Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities and Policies (DOTMLPF-P) framework to identify requirements.
Evaluates training and education doctrine, strategy, and publications for adequacy, currency, and relevancy.
Based on the analysis, recommends and implements a plan for TRADOC schools, centers and agencies to modify training and the appropriate training products.
Interacts with contract and contractor personnel in order to monitor and evaluate contracted work products.
Coordinates with the private sector and academic communities to keep abreast of state-of-the-art training and education advances and innovation that may be applicable and incorporated into Army training and education initiatives.
Explain work requirements, methods, policies, and procedures to subordinate employees.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5 CFR Part 2634, Subpart 1 USOGE, 6/08) upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
- You may be expected to travel for this position approximately 25% of the time away from the duty location.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience 1) Developing training or educational products utilizing digital training systems AND 2) Identifying resource requirements to support the training strategies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
