You will serve as a Program Manager in the Commander's Action Group of NAVAL SUPPLY SYSTEMS COMMAND.

Duties

You will facilitate the development of Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP)'s Strategic Plan and annual Commander's Guidance. You will be responsible for the planning and development for both the strategic engagement and strategic communications for the Commander, NAVSUP to ensure visits and communications align with strategic vision and mission of NAVSUP. You will conduct, analyze and report results from project and program efforts; make recommendations for changes to the NAVSUP Strategic Plan, subject to approval by NAVSUP Commander and executive leadership. You will be a subject matter expert (SME) in areas of logistics and quality of life to create and maintain analyses and summaries of key Enterprise issues: contracts, spares management, innovation, cyber security, and ethics. You will manage talking points and information collection for Senior Leader travel in support of Command requirements, including: forecasting, projecting requirements, and regular coordination with entities within NAVSUP and lateral mission partners.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay and in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following duties: 1) Directing and facilitating the development of a logistics-focused command strategic plan/ commander's guidance, including measures of performance; ensuring alignment with applicable doctrine; advising the Commander and senior staff. 2) Coordinating enterprise-wide planning activities for a logistics command, providing applicable policy and guidance. 3) Planning and developing command strategic engagement communications, to include planning and execution of conferences, visits, and monthly meetings with senior leaders at Echelon I to V commands. 4) Directing, coordinating, and providing guidance for the formulation and defense of budget, human resources, and IT requirements. 5) Facilitating, coordinating, and managing recurring briefs to the commander provided by the headquarters staff and Echelon III to V commands.
