About the Position: This position is under the control of the Office Of The Director.
Duties
Serves as an expert logistical data and systems analyst and advisor to the Executive Director of the Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC).
Provides expert analysis for the organizations logistical performance based on information supplied by customers, performance metrics, review and analysis, and audits by outside agencies.
Provides expert guidance and assistance in the management of a wide variety of the projects, studies, and action correspondence, keeping the Executive Director informed of critical developments.
Serves as advisor to the Executive Director, with regard to achieving increased effectiveness of operations through the optimum effective planning, budgeting, and utilization of personnel and financial resources.
Serves as liaison with the Business Management Directorate in the development and execution of the Programming, Planning, Budget and Execution System.
Performs special projects and studies to include examination and analysis of potential logistical problems and recommendations for testing and improving procedures, programs, and/or systems as they relate to the mission of the organization.
Develops and recommends solutions to Executive Director, Reviews and evaluates requirements for changes to logistics and business/administrative procedures, programs, and/or systems.
Due to the sensitive nature of such projects and the level of those persons contacted, the incumbent exercises an extremely high level of tact and diplomacy.
Requirements
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R,
- This position is Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). Incumbent must meet the requirements for CAP at time of hire. Note: Acquisition Corps membership is no longer required for Critical Acquisition Positions (CAP).
- This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). This position requires a 3-year tenure agreement. Applicant must sign DD Form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Position Service Agreement) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written tenure agreement.

To qualify applicants must possess on one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level GS-13. Specialized experience is defined as: Multifaceted knowledge of Acquisition and Sustainment Logistics within TACOM. Experience in developing and briefing Senior Level Leadership (SES/GO level). Experience in analyzing reports and data collected through field missions, evaluates shortfalls, and strategically plan future requirements to enhance logistics guidance, logistics products, improve program internal processes, and to identify and develop TACOM technical resources. Demonstrated skills in project management of high visibility programs.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
