About the Position: Headquarters, US Army Forces Command Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Fort Liberty is a culturally diverse area with rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Fayetteville is centrally located between the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.

Duties

Serves as the functional specialist on logistics system management GCSS-Army maintenance module, and/or policies and procedures. Maintenance functions into a unified logistics program as it relates to units, installation lateral organizations and the overall FORSCOM and G-4 Mission and Vision. Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Employee must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • TDY travel up to 35% may be required.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements.

Wide range of experience utilizing Logistics Information Systems to include GCSS-Army; 2) Experience with finance, information systems, force development, environmental, engineer construction programs 3). Understanding of the Army Award for Maintenance Excellence program. AND 4). Experience in preparing briefing and fact sheets to present to high level boards and committees. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Organizational AwarenessPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
