You will serve as a GENERAL BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY in the COMMANDING OFFICER COMMAND OPERATION DEPT., ACQUISITION/PROCUREMENT DIV. of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will be directly responsible for drafting program briefs, point papers, and talking points for flag level officer discussions and meetings.
You will develop and review source selection plans and business cases that support acquisition decisions.
You will prepare source selection evaluation criteria, source selections plans, technical evaluation plans, and past performance plans.
You will be responsible for utilizing automated systems for tracking and monitoring acquisition status, funding, implementation and closeout.
You will perform a range of duties relating to preparation of required acquisition documents, analysis, formulation, presentation, and execution of contracts.
You will establish procedures for collecting information and data for the preparation of recurring and special administrative reports.
You will do other duties assigned to you.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Identifies within programs/projects assigned those large-scale subsystems, components and services to be acquired by contract. 2.) Plans, develops and establishes the contractual strategy for the overall acquisition program for the organization. 3.) Prepares and maintains current acquisition plans, appropriate milestone charts and related schedules. 4.) Assists in development of solicitation packages and conducts reviews of contract specifications and contract changes. 5.) Reviews for appropriate contract type, pricing provisions, selection of source, determinations and findings, documentation, clarity of contract terms, propriety of cited funds and need for issuance of un-priced contractual documents. 6.) Advises program officials of the procurement objectives to be used, and assists in the preparation of statements of work, determination and findings and solicitation documents.
