You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, DEPT OF NAVY of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
Duties
You will analyze quality characteristics, production methods, and interrelationship of functional parts and subassemblies of products to ensure effective control of product and service quality.
You will analyze failure or rejection rates for work products to determine effectiveness of quality control methods or standards.
You will inspect API equipment and systems to verify compliance to technical drawing and specification requirements.
You will read and interpret engineering drawings including GD and T notations.
You will perform NDT as required by drawing.
You will document inspection results on QCL and on inspection reports.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting quality assurance monitoring and inspection duties, on assigned API systems/equipment, including Land Based Arresting Gear systems and VLA systems. 2) Verifying product quality using sampling inspection, or when necessary more intensive product inspection techniques. 3) Utilizing quality checklists, blueprints, military standards, test directives, and system technical manuals to perform inspections related to the NAWCADLKE manufacturing QA program. 4) Working with proprietary manufacturing control systems (MPCS) and NAVAIR's WATS data management system in order to maintain records, create reports of deficiencies and technical reports
