You will serve as a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST in the PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICE of NMPC.
Duties
You will prepare briefings for media and special events.
You will develop and implement strategic communication guidance and plans.
You will recommend solutions for public affairs problems and issues.
You will analyze and evaluate metrics on the effectiveness of communications products to verify their accuracy and usefulness.
You will create a strategic Public Affairs plan to support long-range goals of an organization.
You will prepare correspondence (e.g., letters of welcome and congratulations) to communicate policies.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing public affairs advice to command leadership and managers to support transformation outreach and engagement while aligning internal and external communication plans and products to deliver cohesive messages to targeted audiences; 2) Developing forward-thinking plans that promote understanding of and support for the command's mission, in addition to creating after-action reports, command operations reports, and other assessments that detail the effectiveness of communication programs; 3) Evaluating the impact and effectiveness of communication plans and advising leaders on potential reactions to proposed statements, actions, or programs; 4) Generating and producing multichannel communication products to include digital and online channels to reach targeted audiences, while writing feature stories and articles concerning leadership's strategic message to the workforce and preparing talking points and speeches for internal engagements.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or
- Three (3) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or
- LL.M., if related
