The selectee of this position serves as a Financial Management Analyst. You will be responsible for coordinating financial processes, approving transactions, overseeing financial systems, analyzing financial processes, operations, and controls, evaluating program effectiveness, and providing expert guidance.
Duties
As a Financial Management Analyst at the GS-0501-13 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Plans, coordinates, and performs a broad range of financial management functions for an assigned program area
Performs as a high level technical or subject matter expert in the analysis of financial management processes and operations
Provides expert guidance, technical advice, and training to internal and external stakeholders regarding the management of funds, processing of financial transactions, and generation and review of financial reports
Research complex accounting or financial issues that require in-depth analysis, interpreting regulations, and preparing well-written responses or recommendations

Qualifications
GS-13 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).
You may qualify at the GS-0501-13 level, if you fulfill of the following qualifications:
One year of full time specialized work experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing duties such as: 1.) Providing technical advice regarding complex financial issues; 2) Preparing financial reports; 3) Analyzing and resolving discrepancies in financial data; and 4) Identifies and recommends best practices for improving internal controls.
