About the Position: Fort Liberty known as the "Home of the Airborne and Special Operations Forces." It is a culturally diverse area with both rural and city populations and is co-located at Fayetteville, NC. It is centrally located just hours away from the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains. Fayetteville Regional Airport is located 12 miles outside of Fort Liberty's gates and Raleigh-Durham International Airport is 70 miles away.
Duties
Serves as a Management Analyst in the Fort Bragg Mission Support Element G8, Manpower and Defense Travel Division
Analyze manpower impact of decrements and increments to develop methodologies and strategies for distribution of authorizations.
Coordinate personnel actions with the local Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) to maintain database of assigned personnel and position vacancies.
Analyze mission, organization and functions, workload data and work processes to assist management in identifying areas for process improvement.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- This position requires 10% TDY.
- Position my requires a One-Year probationary period.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience in the Federal service which includes 1. reviewing Table of Distribution Allowances (TDA) requests to ensure personnel actions are consistent with the Command's goals and objectives and are within prescribed funding constraints; and 2. providing policy guidance and technical assistance regarding program requirements, 3. developing various personnel reports to identify pertinent data for TDA updating, and 4. Advises Managers on recruitment strategies and various personnel action.

I have successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Management Analyst of study. OR
Have the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have at least two years of graduate education as described in B, but less than the required three years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
