You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MIL) in the Manpower & Reserve Affairs Department of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will establish guidelines and performance expectations for staff members.
You will observe workers' performance; demonstrate and conduct work performance critiques and provide informal feedback and periodically evaluate employee performance.
You will analyze the military human resources problems and issues, refine or modify existing work methods and guidelines, and provide recommendations with a range of alternatives.
You will serve as technical authority and advisor on all matters pertaining to Service Treatment Record (STR) processing and program management.
You will provide administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performs the administrative and military human resources management functions in relation to the development and execution of Service plans and policies related to Armed Forces personnel actions, records, awards, promotion, and selection process.

Education
In lieu of the specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education, as follows:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
