The Evaluation and Inspections (E&I) Division carries out a comprehensive program of evaluations, inspections, and management reviews that have significant impact on the operation of DOJ components, including the DEA, FBI, BOP, ATF, and others.
Duties
If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for evaluations, inspections, and reviews of DOJ programs. As an Administrative Officer, you will perform the following duties through independent assignments as well as a member of the administrative team supporting the work of the Evaluation and Inspections Division. You will actively assist teams that review DOJ programs and functional areas to assess compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Administrative team members plan and execute critical support functions that enhance Division operations, including:
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- You must be registered for the Selective Service, if applicable.
- You must successfully pass and are subject to random drug screenings.
- You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
- You may be subject to a probationary period.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position at the GS-12 grade level, you must meet the requirements obtained in either the Federal service or Private Sector as stated below. You must have 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level, including, but not limited to:
1).Providing administrative and human resource management support in areas including budget and financial management, procurement management, records management, electronic and information technology management, property management, training, travel, and security;
2).Determining issues for further review and study, preparing and analyzing documentation, and executing customer-oriented solutions;
3).Editing and reviewing memoranda and other formal correspondence; and
4).Providing progress reports and responses to data calls regarding the activities and performances of an office or organization.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade level (or equivalent).
