This position is located in the SCI/D Michael Bilirakis Center and provides assistance to the Medical and Program Directors of the Spinal Cord Injury/Disorders(SCI/D) Outpatient Center Program by performing a variety of administrative duties, including managing the daily operations of SCI/D Home Care. You will also supports the SCI/D Service in several capacities; such as ADPAC, TMS Administrator, Emergency Management Coordinator, and Safety Committee Representative.

Duties

Major Duties include but not limited to: Ensures receipt/coordination is accomplished on a timely basis and makes suggestions to staff on ways to improve results Schedules the patient/discipline visit on consult; adding pertinent information to consult email so team members don't have to research the data. Initiates the weekly SCI/D Home Care Interdisciplinary Team(IDT) Meeting, by discussing open consults for each specialized program. Provides the Program Director quarterly data consisting of SCI Home Care visits, total mileage, and average daily census Presents clinical reminders issues to the Clinical Applications Coordinators for resolution if problems or issues occur. Makes primary Provider clinical appointments for SCI/D Home Care patients upon program discharge to facilitate the continuum of care. Coordinates with HIMS for document scanning of patient forms(e.g behavioral contract agreement and release of information) Develops spreadsheets to monitor performance measures Transcribes minutes for the quarterly SCI/D Home Care Administrative Meeting Submit electronic work orders to Facilities Management for SCI/D Arranges educational training for the SCI/D Home Care IDT members Completes special projects for the Program Director of SCI/D Home Care as assigned Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:30am-4:00pm Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 10/10/2023. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. You may qualify based on your experience as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Manages the consult list and checks status daily or, as necessary Maintain database, complete statistics, monitor performance measures and report as appropriate.
