Responsible for a variety of product development assignments to include but not limited to requirements definitions, applications design and development, testing, implementation, and problem resolution.
Works with End-user representative and functional analysts to define as well as to understand the customer's needs.
Provides advice on the impacts, risks and risk mitigation of software development decision, plans, designs and specifications.
Uses SAP ABAP and BOPF programming languages and tools to write/configure applications and interface software to satisfy user requirements. This includes general programming tools and language-specific developer kits to ....

Develops and creates SAP HANA database objects to meet specific application requirements.
Leverages WMS coding standards for all programming languages supporting WMS including Java, ABAP and BOPF.
Develops transports and works with other developers to troubleshoot issues when transports fail to process.
Aids team members as necessary for accomplishment of individual and team tasks.
Prepares test plans and test data, develops a portion of the overall test plan.
Ensures software transitions and software development environment to the designated support site follows established standards, procedures, policies, regulations, and guidelines.

Qualifications
To qualify for an IT Specialist (APPSW/OS), your resume and supporting documentation must include:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Experience with SAP ABAP and BOPF programming languages utilizing a SAP development environment.
Understands SAP Transports to manage changes throughout the application lifecycle and the tools used to write and modify applications interfaces, extensions, user exits, APIs, report, and forms to satisfy user requirements.
Experience in analyzing design documents to drive application development to meet requirements.
Understands information system/software development standards, policies, procedures, regulations, rules, and other guidelines in order to define, develop, design, test, document and implement systems, applications and processes in assigned program area.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
