The selectee of this position serves as a Financial Management Analyst. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and performing a broad range of financial management functions for assigned program area in the Office of Finance.
Duties
As a Financial Management Analyst at the GS-0501-12 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Perform the duties of Certifying Officer, reviewing daily disbursements; ensuring payments are certified in the Treasury's system within a timely manner
Assists with developing and/or revising agency financial directives, policies, and procedures to promote efficient and effective mission accomplishment for the Agency
Attends meetings and conference with representative of other Federal agencies, private industry, and trade associations in order to stay abreast of current developments and/or regulatory changes concerning operations and travel issues

Qualifications
GS-12 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).
You may qualify at the GS-0501-12 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualifications:
One year of full time specialized work experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing duties such as: 1.) Compiling, analyzing, and summarizing financial information related to an organization's financial programs; 2) Providing advice and recommendations on financial aspects of operation, maintenance, and program requirements; and 3) Identifies and resolves discrepancies.
