The District helps manage local water resources for navigation, flood damage reduction, disaster assistance, hydroelectric power generation, and other natural and heritage areas.

Duties

Serve as an Advanced Modeler for Geospatial and other Disciplines within Design Branch. Perform 3D solids modeling, including Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Civil Information Modeling (CIM). Perform layout of complex equipment and features. Perform feature sizing based on general-principle and standard criteria. Perform Point Cloud manipulation and CAD duties for surveying activities. Mentor others in the proper use of 3D Modeling, BIM, and CIM.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a state issued driver's license.

Specialized Experience GS-9: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience using computer-aided design to produce design layouts and concepts for engineering drawings from scratch (e.g., assimilating information from other sources, not a design sketch) for projects focused on civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and/or electrical designs. (Must clearly document in resume). Specialized Experience GS-10: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience modifying 3D models produced by others for projects focused on civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and/or electrical designs. (Must clearly document in resume). Specialized Experience GS11: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-10 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience developing 3D models and Building Information Models (BIM) for projects focused on civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and/or electrical designs.
