You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Air Systems Group, Logistics Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

You will establish the tailorable Maintenance Planning strategy and methodology across multiple product lines within the Advanced Development Team (ADT) portfolio that support establishment of effective maintenance capability. You will support the Program Manager (PM), Product Support Manager (PSM) and Assistant Program Manager (APML) in developing, updating and execution of product support requirements. You will provide input to key programmatic documentation such as the Acquisition Strategy, Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP), Product Support Analysis Plan (PSAP), Technical Data Strategy, Systems Engineering Plan (SEP) and others as required. You will work with various stakeholders to define the Maintenance Planning and Product Support Analysis domains and define the requirements to establish those domains within a Digital Acquisition environment.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Identifying and recommending opportunities for improved affordability, life cycle cost reductions and improvement of aircraft and subsystems availability; 2) Defining, tailoring, and executing the Maintenance Planning approach; 3) Reviewing program technical and mission documentation to ensure logistics requirements are identified and integrated with design and operational requirements as well as optimized within acceptable levels of risk; and 4) Developing and delivering logistics presentations.
