You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Financial Management Community of ASN.
Duties
You will analyze financial management practices to validate adherence to regulatory requirements.
You will create financial management strategies in support of organizational programs.
You will formulate financial strategies to achieve program objectives within financial constraints
You will recommend strategies regarding financial management policies, procedures, and tactics.

- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience advising to senior managers on the development, implementation and, revision of financial management policies, plans, and programs.
Experience formulating budgets and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities.
Experience directing and/or performing program execution reviews, analysis and appraisals of operating and support programs within the organization.
Experience conducting management evaluation of issue of financial consequence raised in audit reports, budget reviews, etc. and recommends alternatives for corrective action.
